Jose Flores-Jimenez ’25
Thanks to the Powell Scholars Program, Media X, and the Benjamin Bejan Experiential Learning Endowment, I had the honor of attending the 75th Annual Cannes International Film Festival as an intern this past summer.
The internship, which is organized every year by The American Pavillion, paired me with an Australian Distribution Company called Odin's Eye Entertainment. While working with them, I saw first-hand how producers and filmmakers pitch, sell, and distribute their films.
I also had the opportunity to attend world premieres for films by both established auteurs and emergent filmmakers, providing me with invaluable field experience as well as a sneak peek into the great cinema that will be distributed throughout the coming year.
